Bev Speight is an award winning graphic designer, illustrator and art educator. A former creative director for a major London publishing house and BBC designer, she has recently worked on major campaigns for BBC, Lonely Planet and Berlitz. Bev balances her time between her creative design and illustration practice, leading the BA 3D and Visual Arts Foundation programmes at Middlesex University and creating her art books.
In her first book ArtLife published by Ilex in 2017 Bev’s shares her teaching methods and passion for art, encouraging others to explore the world as artists and to create work that they never expected from themselves. 2018 saw the publication of Fast Art (Ilex) an eclectic collection of inspiring fine art projects. Bev has recently designed a new art project series template for Ilex to be published in conjunction with Tate Publishing and authored the first title in the series, Project Collage (published in March 2019).
As a graphic designer, Bev has over the years packaged many books for the major publishers.
She is now enjoying designing, illustrating and photographing her own titles.
