Paul Donnelley is a journalist and author who lives in Essex. He has written a number of books with a show business theme including the encyclopaedic 'Fade To Black' (four editions for Omnibus, 2000-2010) and biographies of Julia Roberts and Judy Garland as well as a guide to the films of Marilyn Monroe.
In 2008, he wrote 'Assassins and Assassinations' (New Holland) and the following year '501 Most Notorious Crimes' (Hamlyn) which spent several weeks in The Sunday Times top ten bestseller list. 2016 saw the publication of 'The Mammoth Book of More Bizarre Crimes' which Paul co-wrote with Robin Odell (Robinson). His passion for Arsenal has led to three books on the north London giants 'The Arsenal Companion' (Pitch, 2008), 'Arsenal on this Day' (Pitch, 2009) and 'Arsenal's Greatest Games' (Pitch, 2018).
2010 saw the publication of the first three titles in a new series of in-depth trivia books 'Firsts, Lasts and Onlys' (on cricket, football and golf). The series now includes rugby, tennis with horse racing the next under starter's orders.
