Paul Donnelley is a journalist and author who divides his time between Essex and Algeria. He has written a number of books with a showbusiness theme – biographies of Julia Roberts and Judy Garland.
In 2008, he wrote Assassins and Assassinations (New Holland) and the following year 501 Most Notorious Crimes (Hamlyn) which spent several weeks in the Sunday Times top ten bestseller list. 2016 saw the publication of the Mammoth Book of More Bizarre Crimes which Paul co-wrote with Robin Odell (Robinson). His passion for Arsenal has led to two books on the North London giants The Arsenal Companion (Pitch, 2008) and Arsenal on this Day (Pitch, 2009) and he is currently at work on another Arsenal title.
2010 saw the publication of the first three titles in a new series for Hamlyn Firsts, Lasts and Onlys (on cricket, football and golf). Paul is currently writing the third in the series on rugby.
