Maria Cross is an experienced nutritionist and health writer. She has an MSc in Public Health Food and Nutrition, and has worked as a university lecturer and tutor, speaker, therapist and author. She now divides her time between consultations and writing.
Maria’s first book was an academic text, Nutrition in Institutions (2009). This was followed by I Wish I Hadn’t Eaten That, based on her experience as a nutritional therapist.

Her interest in brain nutrition developed after observing an increase in mental health problems in her clients alongside other issues, such as gut problems, metabolic disorders, and hormonal imbalances. Everything is connected, and the health of mind and body is evidence of this
